1. Who provides this extension

This Privacy Policy explains how Proposly ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use the Proposly Meeting Capture extension (the "Extension"), part of the Proposly Service. It is written to align with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its Implementing Regulations issued by the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA).

2. What the extension does

Proposly Meeting Capture helps you capture your own business meetings on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom. It reads the live caption text displayed on the meeting page to build a written transcript, and it can record audio and video of the meeting tab you select. You can keep everything on your device, or connect a Proposly account and send a transcript to your Proposly workspace.

3. Local processing

The extension builds transcripts by reading caption text already visible on the meeting page, directly in your browser. It does not send meeting audio to any speech-to-text or AI service to generate the transcript. Local exports (JSON, Word, and audio/video recordings) are generated on your device and saved through your browser's own download function. To support draft recovery and reliable sending, the extension may temporarily store transcript drafts, a pending-send queue, and your connection state in your browser's local extension storage until you delete them or they are sent.

4. Data sent to Proposly

If you connect your Proposly account, the extension sends your email address and a one-time verification code to Proposly to authenticate you, and stores an access token locally so you don't have to sign in repeatedly.

If you choose to send a meeting to Proposly, the extension uploads the transcript text and related meeting metadata (title, platform, capture time, duration, language, and speaker labels) to your Proposly workspace. This only happens when you explicitly choose the send action after reviewing the transcript — it is never automatic.

Local audio and video recordings are not included in this upload.

5. Chrome sync

Some interface preferences (such as display language and meeting language) are stored using Chrome's synchronized storage, meaning Chrome may copy these preferences between your signed-in devices through Google's own sync service. No meeting content or transcript data is stored this way.

6. Recording consent

You are responsible for obtaining any consent required before recording or transcribing a meeting. Recording rules vary by jurisdiction, and many organizations require that participants be informed before a meeting is recorded or transcribed.

7. Third parties

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising. Meeting content sent to Proposly is not used to train or fine-tune any machine learning or AI model.

8. Your rights and contact

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting privacy@proposly.app. Content stored only on your device is under your direct control at all times — you can delete it by clearing extension data or uninstalling the extension.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this page and its date if the extension's data practices change.
